Many of you who purchased an iPhone 3G are really ready to use it as a tethering device so that you may have full highspeed 3G internet access on-the-go with your laptop. It really sucks that you have to purchase a separate device for about $60 a month to use your laptop anywhere there is 3G service. Wouldn't it be so much easier to just use your iPhone 3G to tether which you already pay a premium for each month? AT&T is in the talking process for allowing the tethering to happen. Of course you can probably do this already if you have a jailbroken iPhone but you may run into issues if AT&T detects that you are using your iPhone data for internet on a laptop (high-data-rates). The only pitfall to this "idea" is the fact that AT&T says they will change an additional $30 on top of your current iPhone plan in order to tether. Darn, just when you thought it would be awesome to NOT PAY ANYTHING ADDITIONAL to tether your all-so-fast iPhone 3G. More info to come as it happens. Quote this article on your site | E-mail
